Schizophrenia is one of the mental disorders that has reached 24 million cases out of 300 million cases of mental disorders in the world. The most common symptom that appears in schizophrenia is hallucinations, especially auditory hallucinations which are the most common cases of hallucinations where patients hear false voices. In minimizing the impact and reducing the signs and symptoms of hallucinations, there are several ways that can be used, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. One of the nonpharmacological therapies that can be used is drawing therapy. The purpose of this case study is to determine the application of drawing therapy to reduce signs and symptoms in patients with auditory hallucination disorder. The theories underlying this scientific paper are schizophrenia, hallucinations, mental health care and scheduled activities which include the theory of drawing therapy. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study approach in two patients with auditory hallucination disorder. The results obtained showed a decrease in signs and symptoms after drawing therapy. The patient's ability also increased in controlling his hallucinations. The conclusion of this case study shows that drawing therapy is proven effective to control and reduce the signs and symptoms of hallucinations. It is expected that patients and families can cooperate in the treatment process, especially by increasing family support, client interest and motivation, and always controlling clients in drug compliance.
Rossa Amalia CintaiAsep RiyanaPeni CahyatiIwan Somantri

https://ojs.stikesmucis.ac.id/index.php/asyjstn/article/view/777

Purpose: This study aims to identify the effect of animated media in reducing menarche-related anxiety among female students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Menarche, as the first experience of menstruation, often causes anxiety in young girls due to a lack of understanding and preparedness. Therefore, providing appropriate and engaging educational media is essential to help reduce anxiety levels. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 19 female students from grades 4 to 6, selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used for data collection was an anxiety questionnaire designed to assess students’ emotional responses related to menarche. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to determine differences in anxiety levels before and after the intervention. Results: The results showed a significant difference in the average anxiety scores between the pretest and posttest. The p-value obtained was 0.001, which is less than the significance level of 0.05, indicating that animated media had a significant effect in reducing students' anxiety about menarche. Conclusion: Animated media is effective in increasing students’ engagement and understanding of menarche, making educational messages more accessible and reducing emotional distress related to the experience
Sri NurjanahYanti SrinayantiIma SukmawatiLilis Lismayanti

https://ojs.stikesmucis.ac.id/index.php/asyjstn/article/view/778

Purpose: Lung cancer is a malignant disease and remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. One of the primary risk factors for lung cancer is smoking. Among adolescents, smoking habits are becoming increasingly common, influenced by peer pressure, media exposure, and lack of awareness about the health risks. This trend presents a significant challenge for healthcare providers, particularly nurses, to deliver effective health education aimed at lung cancer prevention. Enhancing adolescents' knowledge and awareness through appropriate health education methods is essential to encourage healthy behaviors and reduce the risk of lung cancer in the future. Method: This study utilized a descriptive research design with a case study approach. The subjects consisted of 32 students from SMPN 07 Cibitung who met the inclusion criteria: adolescents who had never received information regarding the dangers of smoking and who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study from beginning to end. Audiovisual media was used as the primary educational tool during the intervention. Results: The findings showed a notable improvement in the knowledge of the respondents after the health education was delivered. Of the 32 participants, 6 respondents (19%) achieved a moderate level of knowledge, while the majority—26 respondents (81%)—demonstrated a good level of knowledge regarding lung cancer prevention and the dangers of smoking. Conclusions: The results indicate that the use of audiovisual media in health education is effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge about lung cancer prevention. This method can be considered a valuable tool for nurses and educators in promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing smoking-related diseases among young people.

Dwi SuryaniSilva Rahmawati Papuanidiharjo
