One of the challenges that may arise during pregnancy is infection, including viral infections such as herpes zoster. The intense pain caused by the condition, the risk of secondary infections, and the resulting anxiety can significantly impact the well-being of the mother. Moreover, limited knowledge about the disease among pregnant women often worsens their condition, both physically and emotionally. Providing educational midwifery care and support to pregnant women with herpes zoster is a strategic step to ensure they receive comprehensive and holistic care. Objective: The objective of this activity is to provide a solution to the challenges in delivering comprehensive care to pregnant women with herpes zoster, aiming to reduce maternal anxiety during pregnancy by increasing their knowledge related to the care provided. Method: The activity was carried out in three stages: problem identification and initial assessment, education and care support, and finally, evaluation and outcome measurement. Result: There was a significant improvement in knowledge following the educational intervention. Conclusion: Based on the assessment of the pregnant woman's knowledge about herpes zoster before and after the educational intervention, a significant increase was observed. Prior to the education, the mother's level of knowledge was categorized as low, with a score of 50.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Aulia Fauzi, Kalisha Andriani Putri, Mega Adilah Cucu Kirana, Yayu Yulinar, Rosidah Solihah, Sandriani https://ojs.stikesmucis.ac.id/index.php/daipkm/article/view/749 Peningkatan Pemahaman Siswa Tentang Kesehatan Reproduksi Melalui Penyuluhan Partisipatif di SMPN 1 Kupang 2025-06-16T15:09:27+07:00 Daeng Agus Vieya Putri Bhwa davp1708@gmail.com Ongky Alexanddro Tulasi davp1708@gmail.com Julino Ximenes Guteres Bria davp1708@gmail.com Christophorus Nuha Mara davp1708@gmail.com Ardy Aditya Liunome davp1708@gmail.com
This community service program aims to enhance students' understanding of reproductive health. The activity was conducted at SMPN 1 Kupang, involving 60 students as participants. The implementation methods included multimedia-based counseling, interactive discussions, and an evaluation of understanding through pre-tests and post-tests. The counseling aimed to provide comprehensive information about physical, psychological, and social changes during puberty, as well as risk behavior prevention. The results showed a significant improvement in the students' knowledge. Before the counseling, the average pre-test score was 62%, while after the counseling, it increased to 85%. This improvement reflects the effectiveness of the participatory approach used during the activity. The students also demonstrated active participation in the discussions by asking questions and sharing experiences. In conclusion, this community service program effectively improved students' knowledge of reproductive health. The participatory approach, relevant material presentation, and support from the school played a key role in achieving these results. Recommendations for future activities include deepening the material on risk behavior prevention and increasing parental involvement in reproductive health education. Thus, similar activities are expected to be replicated in other schools to support wider adolescent health education.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Daeng Agus Vieya Putri Bhwa; Ongky Alexanddro Tulasi, Julino Ximenes Guteres Bria, Christophorus Nuha Mara, Ardy Aditya Liunome https://ojs.stikesmucis.ac.id/index.php/daipkm/article/view/794 Penyuluhan Pengolahan Produk Inovatif Alami Tinggi Nutrisi dari Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) And inviting participants to discuss and ask questions, so they can better understand the practical application of the information provided.

Results

The results of the outreach program showed an increase in participants' knowledge about stunting, its contributing factors, and the health benefits of moringa leaves. Most participants admitted that they were previously unaware of the importance of moringa leaves as a source of nutrition. After the outreach, participants seemed more enthusiastic about trying to incorporate moringa leaves into their daily meals. There were also some participants who shared their experiences after starting to include moringa leaves in their family's diet.

Conclusion

Outreach on the utilization of moringa leaves to prevent stunting successfully increased community awareness and knowledge about the importance of nutrition in child growth. With a better understanding of the benefits and how to process moringa leaves, it is hoped that the community can integrate it into their daily diets.
