Peer Review Process

Mukhtabar : Journal of Medical Laboratory Technology applies a double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the editors and section editors, and only manuscripts that fit the purpose and scope of the journal will be submitted for external review. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two external reviewers. If deemed necessary, the editors will enlist the help of additional expert reviewers to reach a fair final decision.

The editors endeavour to reduce the time elapsed between manuscript submission and publication in a regular issue. It is expected that the review and publication process will be completed in about 3-12 months after manuscript submission, depending on the feedback from the reviewers and the final decision of the editors. If any revisions are requested, the publication time will of course be longer. The final decision on article acceptance will be made by the editor in accordance with the reviewers' comments. At the end of the review process, accepted papers will be published with a DOI number on the journal's website.
